John Guerin abstract watercolor cityscape painting that incorporates hues of grey, blue, purple, and red. Signed by the artist in the bottom right-hand corner. The painting is nicely matted and framed to accentuate the highlights of green throughout the composition.
A painter and educator, John Guerin taught at the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts from 1950 to 1952, and the University of Texas at Austin from 1953 to 1970. He studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Art Students League in New York, Escuela Bellas Artes in San Miguel, Mexico, and the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center. He passed away on December 5, 2006.
