Contemporary black and sepia abstract etching by Houston, TX artist Marco Villegas. The work features a central black tubular shape with wing-like appendages and a pair of punching boxers in the foreground. Previous gallery information including artist signature attached to reverse. Printed on Rives BFK paper. Currently hung in a solid black floating frame.

Artist Biography

Marco Villegas was born in Monterrey, Mexico and has resided in Houston for over thirty years. He attended the Fine Arts program at the University of Houston from 1986 – 1991. In 1990 his work was selected by Edward Albee for a group show at Hiram Butler Gallery called What I Found in Houston. Since that time Villegas has exhibited frequently around Texas, including exhibitions at the Dallas Contemporary and Wichita Falls Museum of Art.
