The colorful oil painting includes a depiction of a Southern Magnolia flower in the center of the composition. Believed to have been featured in the 1947 John Morrell Company Calendar, in which they contracted Edna Reindel to do a series titled "Flowers of Our Land" for the calendar. This beautiful Edna Reindel oil painting previously came from a Houston Estate.

Artist Biography

Edna Reindel (American 1894-1990) was a painter, printmaker, sculptor, and muralist whose still-life compositions were done in a hyper-realistic style that at times bordered on Surrealism. Many of her works featured rich colors and interesting perspectives.
