Artist Biography

Martin Dreyer was an accomplished painter, fiction writer, teacher, gallery owner, collector or art, and political activist. He is known for his fanciful oil paintings ranging from genre scenes to still life's to portraits. He was mostly active as a painter in 1940s to 1950s. During his time as an artist he showed at Houston Artist Exhibitions, Texas General Exhibitions and appeared in a group show at the Dallas Museum of Fine Art, The Houston Museum of Fine Art, and the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston.
