Blue-toned abstract painting by Houston, TX artist Dee Wolff. This painting depicts an abstract tree with dark red roots growing from the branches against a dark blue background, palm leaves, and abstract figures. The painting also depicts a few elements that resemble the formation of a cell. Unsigned. Matted and framed in a natural wooden frame.

Artist Biography

Dee Wolf is a Minnesota native, and studied at University of Houston; the Glassell School at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston; the C.G. Jung Center, Houston; and at the Oomoto School of Traditional Art in Japan. She has shown over 90 one-woman shows from 1977 to the present; some of these venues include the Dallas Museum of Art; Houston Museum of Fine Arts; Aspen Art Museum; Museum of Southeast Texas; C.G. Jung Center, Houston; Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Russia; Tomsk, Rostovondon, Nizhnily-Novgorod, Russia and at Alexandria Art Museum, Louisiana. Her works can be found in the following permanent collections: Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Blanton Museum, Austin, TX to name a few.
