Colorful geometric origami mixed media wall sculpture utilizing paper that has been painted with watercolor and then torn to create a textured, deckled edge. Accented with metallic foil to create an extra dimension. Signed, titled, and dated along the bottom edge. Hung in a sturdy custom lucite box that both protects and accentuates the three-dimensional nature of the work.

Artist Biography

Barbara Brozik, an Atlanta artist famous for her silkscreen work, was commissioned to design an art installation for a MARTA train station in the city. This project led to her becoming the subject of a 1988 film titled Moving Toward the Light: The Making of a Public Work of Art, which documents her process of creating the installation.
